Education
I have dual certification from St. John's University in Elementary Education and Special Education K-6 with a concentration in Psychology. While in school, I was awarded the Dean's recognition for Excellence in Special Education and was the student speaker for my graduating School of Education class. I interned at City Harvest where I led cooking classes for inner city students to teach them about proper nutrition. Additionally, I tutored at Seamen's Society for Children and Families where I would provide free tutoring services for foster children grades K-12.
Experience
I am a 2nd-4th grade resource room teacher that focuses on small group and one on one instruction. I am able to cater my lessons to the direct needs of the learner to ensure rigor. I am also the Special Education Coordinator at my current school so I am capable of reaching all learning needs. I previously taught 5th grade in New York.

Hobbies
I enjoy working. Additionally I love to run and work out. When it is nice outside I like hiking or spending the day at the beach. I have two young nephews who I love spending time with as well as the rest of my family. I used to coach cheerleading for a competitive cheer gym.
